it has been a great many years since the fall of voldemort, gloriously defeated by the legendary harry potter and his companions, and peace reigns in the wizarding world. but just how long will the peace last? it's beginning with whispers behind hands, quiet mention of trouble brewing, still kept from the students at hogwarts their families. though it is confined to the walls of the ministry, there is something amiss. the only known fact is that something wicked this way comes.

site overview , Welcome to Hogwarts Revolution! This contains all the necessary information you'll need to know before you consider joining our roleplay. From the plot to the regulations, you'll find here all the set material for this site. Make sure to brush up on everything, as it is not only helpful but required reading that will get you well and adjusted onto our site.
site handbook , Here you will find extra material for your character needs on the site. From guides of wands, brooms, student rules to quidditch rules, you'll be sure to find something here to answer your questions and fill in those gaps.
updates and announcements , This is where all sitewide news will be posted. Information about upcoming events, changes, and sweeps will be posted here on a weekly basis by your friendly neighborhood administrators (displayed on the left sidebar and throughout the site). Make sure to get your update or else you'll be out of loop, and we don't do remedial updates.
wizarding news , Here you'll find in character news and information provided by the admins (with feedback and information from the members) on the foundation of the Wizarding UK's renowned newspaper, the Daily Prophet. Updates are, ironically, not daily, but weekly and feature news related to Hogwarts, Quidditch, creatures, and more of those Wizarding topics you love to read. Also featured are weekly editorials by the Hogwarts newspaper, the Hogwarts Crest, where you'll get news from the advisor and staff members.
get sorted , After you've registered, all applications are to be filled out here. We do not require applications to be posted finished, you can work on them as you go with in a reasonable amount of time two weeks max). Once your application is finished, reviewed by an admin and accepted it will be moved into the character profiles board.
sitewide sign-ups , Here you will find all sorts of different things to sign up, register, matriculate, etc. for your characters on the site. From a spot on the quidditch team to being tutored to wanting a position on one of the student clubs or publications, you'll be sure to find something to sign up. Extracurricular never hurt anyone.
character profiles, Once you are accepted in to Hogwarts Revolution, your applications will be placed here as profiles. You may decide to add some color and flair or additives to them once they have been moved here. All profiles, from students to professors are found here.
the relationships , Post your character relationship threads here to develop your romances, make friends, and enemies etc. Make memories for your character! Just come on in and start signing up for others and making your own - nobody bites! (Except vampires, but this is a wizarding school!)
the memoirs , veryone has some sort of journal, diary or even a photo album of their family they keep. Post those here! Now available - subboards to store a myriad of those memoirs. Just sign up at the sidewide sign ups if you're interested in that.

seventh floor , The seventh floor of Hogwarts Castle. This floor is accessible from the marble staircase. portraits found; the portrait of the fat lady hangs here hiding the entrance to the Gryffindor Common Room. There is also the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy in the vacinity of the Room of Requirement.
the towers , Hogwarts Castle has at least six large towers (that we know of from the books). These towers are generally accessible from the seventh floor, each with their own staircases that lead further up.
hogwarts grounds , The grounds are quite extensive, taking in a large forest, a lake, and a lot of open space. There are entrances to the grounds, through the wall enclosing the entire area. The main entrance gate is flanked by pillars on which stand statues of winged boars.

diagon alley , Tapping just the right brick in the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron in London ("Three up...two across...") will reveal an archway which is a portal into Diagon Alley, a long cobbled street where is to be found a strange and exciting assortment of shops and restaurants. It is unquestionably the hub of commerce in the British wizarding world, with virtually every wizarding business stationed there. Consequently, the demand for space here is steep, and rent costs loads of Galleons.
hogsmeade village , Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. According to tradition it was founded over a thousand years ago, around the same time as Hogwarts, by Hengist of Woodcroft as he was fleeing persecution by Muggles. It's a picturesque little village of thatched cottages and shops, with enchanted candles hanging in the trees during the holidays. As Hogsmeade is located just down the road from Hogwarts, the school and the village have always shared a special relationship. On select Saturdays throughout the school year the village is filled with Hogwarts students, who are allowed to visit beginning in their third year.
wizarding institutions , Separated from Muggles since 1689, the Wizarding World has grown and developed independently from the rest of society, though it still parallels it in many ways. For the most part, wizarding places today are kept well-hidden from Muggle eyes. Here you can find information on these places, both wonderful and mundane, both hidden and in plain sight.
